Opening Day of Baseball
This morning we went to the Opening Day Ceremony for Norwalk Little League Baseball. I am playing on the VBI Landscaping T-ball team. We had to go to the field all dressed up in our uniforms for the ceremony. Later that day I had my 1st t-ball game. It was so much fun! I got to hit the ball two times and run the bases. The first time I ran the bases, I ran from third base back to first base. Mommy and Daddy thought that that was pretty cute. I wasn't the only one that did that either! At the end of the game (we played 2 innings), the coaches had both teams run all of the bases a couple of times so we were sure we all would know where to run for our next game. I still haven't had a practice yet, but I do have one on Tuesday and it's supposed to be nice outside (our 1st practice was cancelled due to rain). After the game, Mommy and Daddy let me and Em play on the playground by the ball field and then they took us to Sweet Ashley's for ice cream!

Play Ball!
Tomorrow is my first t-ball game. I am really excited but a little nervous too because our 1st practice got cancelled this week because of rain. Mommy went to Sports Authority today and bought me baseball pants, socks, and cleats. I just had to try them all on with my team's t-shirt and hat. In the morning we have the Opening Ceremony for all of the teams and then my game is in the afternoon. Wish me luck!

Spring Break 2009
Spring Break started on Good Friday this year (April 10-19), so we were lucky to get an extra day of relaxing. On Monday, Mommy took us to the Bruce Museum in Greenwich. It is an Art & Science Museum. We got to see some really cool rocks...even ones that glow in the dark! They had a little aquarium there too. It had a couple of horse shoe crabs and fish in it. It was a really yucky day out, so it was nice to get out of the house and have a change of scenery. The next couple of days the weather was even worse! Cold and rainy, YUCK! On Thursday the sun finally decided to come out, so we went to play miniature golf down at Calf Pasture Beach (down the street from our house). This was the first time Emerson actually understood how to play and actually tried! He did a really great job! I even got a hole-in-one! On Friday Mommy drove us in to NYC for the day. First we went to a place called "Dylan's Candy Bar" which they say is the world's largest candy store! They had all kinds of fun stuff! Even though the Easter bunny had just come the weekend before, Mommy let us pick out some treats! I even got a new hat (my others are all too small now). After the candy store, we walked about 5 blocks to go to Johnny Rockets for lunch. It was a really fun place and we both ate everything on our plates! Emerson found a new favorite song too....Lollipop! He's so cute when he sings it! After lunch, we walked back to our car and drove to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was so awesome but soooo huge inside. We got to walk through and see the Egyptian exhibit with the mummies and the Arms and Armor section. I really liked seeing the horse with armor that was blue and looked like a blanket. After the Met, we went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather in Central Park. There were so many people there, and of course Em woke up a sleeping couple when he threw a stick at them (Mommy hopes this was on accident!!). She packed us up quickly and we went back to the car for the drive home. It took us about 2 hours to get home....oh, and Mommy's GPS charger was broken, so she had to get us home without help. I was pretty worried we wouldn't make it back, but we did. :) The last big thing that happened while we were on Spring Break was that I lost my 3rd tooth on Sunday morning! I woke up and it felt wiggly-er, so I just kept twisting it until it popped right out! I put it under my pillow last night and the tooth fairy left me a whole dollar for it! Maybe our Spring Break week wasn't soooo relaxing in retrospect. :)

Easter 2009
We had so many things to do this Easter! The day before Easter, we went to church for the annual Easter egg hunt. It was really rainy and only about 50 degrees, so we had to look for eggs in the church. It was pretty cool though because they were all through the hallways, the narthex, and even in the Sunday School classrooms. Later that afternoon we decorated Easter eggs at home. Mommy bought us a Transformer Easter egg kit, that was totally WICKED (that's my new word by the way). The next day we woke up and found a letter from the Easter bunny on our table in the kitchen. Next to it was a clue for each of us. We had to go on a hunt for our baskets! Mine was hidden in the oven and Em's was in the dishwasher! That bunny gets sneakier every year! Once we found our baskets, we got to go on an egg hunt in the house. We finally got ready for church. It was nice to remember the REAL meaning of Easter amidst all of the fun activities--Jesus loves us! After a beautiful service at church, which Mommy said later she was so proud of us for behaving because there was no Sunday School, we went to Mommom Lenor and Poppop Ladd's house for brunch. The Easter bunny hid eggs and baskets for us there too! The hunts at Poppop's house were outside though. We headed home at about 2 o'clock and Mommy started making our Easter dinner. This is the first time that she let us eat on her special plates! We had a really yummy dinner of Baked Ham, Southern Candied Yams (we tried them, but weren't really fans), deviled eggs (we liked the egg whites, but not the middles), and steamed brocolli. After a long day of fun, we hit the sack early at about 6:45 so we could wind down with a chapter from Harry Potter (book 2). We hope you all had a very Happy Easter too!

Harrison discovers girls....
Setting the scene: Both boys are upstairs in the loft playing the Wii and talking back and forth. Mommy is downstairs in her room listening to us talk.
Harrison: "What if we all had to dress like girls?"
Emerson: "Yeah, like wear a dress like Peach (Princess from Super Mario)."
Harrison: "Or Amanda S. (a girl in Harrison's kindergarten class)."
Emerson: "Yeah, she's a girl."
Harrison: "She's a HOT girl."
Mommy: (Sheesh!)
