First Real Snow of December

We have had several days with snowflakes, but yesterday was the first real snow. Mommy got me all dressed up in my snow gear to go out and shovel the walk for Daddy. Then when Daddy got home, we got dressed up again and helped him re-shovel the walk. We even had a snow fight with snow on our shovels!! Then Mommy brought me the cone that I asked her for so that I could make myself a snow cone!! Yummy! They say there's supposed to be even more snow on Sunday!

Harrison's 1st Emergency Room Visit

Today I fell on the playground at school. I was going up the steps to the slide and tripped and split open my chin. My teacher, Miss Rosie, called Mommy at home and she came in to look at it and see if I needed stitches. When she got there I showed her my boo-boo and she gave me a high five because I made it 4 and a half years without having to go to the ER! I didn't cry much when I fell, but when Mommy told me I had to leave school I cried. She asked me why and I told her it was because I wanted to stay at school for Lunch Bunch. She told me that if we were quick, we might be able to run and get it fixed and make it back in time for the end of Lunch Bunch. We went to the ER and the nurse put a magic cotton ball on my chin for about 15 minutes and then I couldn't feel anything they did to it. I was really brave and didn't cry or whine one bit! The doctor gave me 1 stitch under the skin and 5 outside. I even made it back in time for the end of Lunch Bunch!

North Pole Express Train

On Sunday night we drove back to Essex, CT to catch a night-time ride on the North Pole Express train. We had an elf named "Princess Snowflake" that sang songs with us and played games while we rode to the North Pole. The train was magical, so it only took us about an hour and 20 minutes to get to the North Pole and back. On the ride, we saw Santa and his reindeer fly by us twice! Then when we got to the North Pole, the station was all lit up and we could see a bunch of Santa's elves. We picked up Santa and Mrs. Claus and they went through each train car to meet all of the kids. Santa even gave us a bell for our Christmas tree! Mrs. Claus had baked cookies for everyone on the train! They were so yummy and the hot chocolate they gave us was great too!

Thanksgiving in NC

We took a LONG car ride to NC to see everyone for Thanksgiving. We were so happy to get to see Poppop Suter, our cousin Trey, Aunt Jessy, Uncle Drew and Uncle Eric! Great Grandmom and Great Grandpop Suter even drove down from NJ for a few days! It was so warm this Thanksgiving too! Mommy packed too many warm clothes so we got pretty hot with the temperatures being in the 70s and 80s with our sweaters on!! Then, the last night that we were in NC, Mommy found a note that Santa had left for us! It had a clue on it to lead us to an early Christmas present!! When we followed the clues, it lead us to Poppop's grandfather clock, his big bathtub, and then to the garage. The last clue lead us to the chimney where we found our present! It was a DVD player for the car! Man, the ride home went so much quicker since we were able to watch movies all day!

Going to Ride on the Thomas Train!

Mommy and Daddy surprised us this weekend by taking us to see the real Thomas the Train! We drove to Essex, CT and had a day with Thomas. It was so cool! Thomas is such a big engine. We even got to go for a ride on Thomas! It was really fun, but REALLY cold too. We hope that Thomas comes to CT again!

Halloween!

This year I decided I wanted to be a ghost for Halloween. And of course, Emerson decided he wanted to be Thomas the Train. Mommy made me a ghost costume and she even painted my hair and my face. I didn't really like the face paint because I kept forgetting that I couldn't touch it. I made Mommy wash it off after about 20 minutes with it on! We got dressed up and went to a Harvest Party at the church where I go to preschool. Then we left in time to do a little bit of trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. We got so much candy!!

New Jersey Again!

We were in NJ again this weekend! Mommy and Daddy had tickets to go to a comedy show and Uncle Jon and Aunt Georgi said they would babysit us. We had a great time playing with Lexi and Emma again! Aunt Georgi and Uncle Jon even let us paint!!

Oyster Festival

This weekend Mommy and Daddy took us to the Norwalk Oyster Festival. It's right down the road from our house, so Mommy and Daddy just loaded up the jogging stroller and walked us down there. There were all kinds of rides and crafts and food too. Poor Emerson didn't get to ride any of the rides because he fell asleep! Later that night, Mommom and Poppop Ladd came to get us so Mommy and Daddy could go out to dinner for their 7th Anniversary without us kids!

Tagging the Fence

I practiced writing my name on the backyard fence this weekend. First I wrote it backwards, then I got it right! The last time I wrote it, I even did my last name too! I'm getting really good at this writing thing!

Labor Day Weekend

After Mommy drove Aunt Jessy to the airport on Sunday, we went to Compo Beach in Westport to have dinner with some of Mommy and Daddy's friends Mr. and Mrs. Walker. They made us hamburgers and hotdogs and even brought yummy cupcakes for dessert.

Aunt Jessy's Visit

Aunt Jessy stayed with us for a whole week when she came to CT. We had a great time with her! She cut our hair (even though we didn't really sit that still!). We woke her up every morning bright and early!! At the end of the week, Mommy and Daddy got a babysitter for us so that they could all go in to NYC.

NJ Shore

This weekend we went to NJ to stay at the shore with Uncle Jon, Aunt Georgianne, Lexi and Emma. Uncle Jon and Lexi had to stay home while we drove to the shore so that they could pick up Aunt Jessy from the airport. Her flight was so late that it was her birthday by the time they got to the shore to meet us! We spent the weekend playing at the beach, swimming at the pool, and hanging out with some more of the Suter family. Great Grandmom, Great Grandpop Suter and Aunt Julie came down Saturday afternoon to help us celebrate Aunt Jessy's 27th birthday! Mommy even got Aunt Jessy a cake!

1st Camping Trip!

This weekend Mommy and Daddy took us on our first camping trip in Kent, CT. The first night we went to bed early since we didn't have any firewood. It rained like crazy on us and Daddy had to bail us out of the tent with a cup. It was so funny! Mommy and Daddy sang funny songs like "Row, Row, Row your tent...". We went on our first hike up Kent Falls, we to the beach at Lake Waramaug State Park and even made hotdogs and s'mores on the campfire! We had such a great time!

Toy Chucking

Harrison woke Mommy up this morning when he ran out the side door. She ran to the door (in her underwear, and screaming LOUDLY!) to get him and he came back saying, "Mommy, I was just getting my toy!" She found out that we had opened the window in the playroom (on the 2nd floor) and threw it out there. When Daddy came home, he asked her how many toys we threw outside and she told him "just 1". Daddy told her to check the side yard. When she went looking, she was surprised to find out that we actually threw out about 30!

Tonight Mommy and Daddy took us to see a Bridgeport Bluefish baseball game with some of our friends from church. We got to have all kinds of treats like french fries, popcorn, and even ice cream! At the end of the game, we got to run the bases. We were so great at running the bases!

Fridge Climbing

Today I stole a bag of cookies that my Mommy made the other night for a meeting. She was really impressed with how I got them too. It's not like it's that hard to climb up onto the refrigerator though. I just pushed the kitchen chair up to the fridge and used the ice maker like a step, and voila! Cookies in no time! I told her that I knew how to do it because I'm 4 now.

Veggies!

Look at the veggies I picked from our garden! We planted tomatoes, carrots, green beans, squash, dill, and green peppers. When we went away to NC for vacation we weren't home to water the garden, so we didn't think anything would grow! We sure were wrong! Among the weeds we found this carrot and these green beans! They were so fresh and yummy!

Cape Cod

On Monday, Mommy drove us to Cape Cod to see a friend of hers from college, Mrs. Kirmil. Mrs. Kirmil has a really nice son, Sean, that we liked playing with. He is younger than us (1 year old), so Mommy was afraid we might teach him big boy tricks (but we didn't!). We played on the beach the afternoon that we got there. Then Mommy and Mrs. Kirmil cooked hotdogs on the grill in the pouring rain for dinner. That night for dessert we tried a watermelon ice cream cake. It was so yummy! We spent the night and in the morning we went to breakfast together. It was a really short visit, but at least we got to meet baby Sean before he turns 2!

Harrison's Birthday Party

This weekend Aunt Georgi, Uncle Jon, and Emma came up from NJ to help Mommy and Daddy with my birthday party. I had a "fishing" party at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT (it's right down the street from my house!). Some of my friends from school and church came to play. We had a fishing "pool" where we could use the poles that Mommy made to catch sponge fish. We had bubbles and beach toys too. Most of the time, everyone wanted to play by the water spigot in the mud puddle though!

Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me and I blew out the candle on my huge fish cake that Mommy made for me.
