Ski Weekend in the Poconos
This weekend we went to the Poconos for some family time. We drove to Blakeslee, PA Thursday afternoon. We got to the house where we were staying, but Miss Kim & Mr. Ron weren't there yet with the key so Daddy hooked up the Wii in the car for us to kill some time. It was so much fun to play the Wii in the car! Once they got there, we unloaded the car and waited for Mr. Bill and Tatum and Aunt Georgi, Uncle Jon, Lexi, Emma and Lexi's friend Cortney to get there. We tried to go snow tubing on Friday, but just before we got to Camelback Mountain, they closed the tubing because of the weather. It was really windy and cold so it wasn't safe for us to tube. We went home and had hot chocolate instead. On Saturday we woke up, ate breakfast, and got ready to go skiing. Emerson didn't want to go with us, so it was just me, Mommy, Daddy, and Uncle Jon. We went to Jack Frost mountain which was about 15 minutes down the road from where we were staying. Daddy picked up a new harness and "Edgie Wedgie" that linked the tips of my skis together so I stayed in "pizza" form. I went down all of the bunny slopes and even on the ski lifts. At the end I was getting way too hungry and tired though, so I was really grouchy. Mommy and Daddy took turns sitting with me in the cafeteria on the mountain so they could each get a few ski runs in for themselves. If you ask me now, I'll still tell you that I didn't have fun, even though Mommy thinks I had fun until I got tired and hungry. Here is the video Mommy took of me skiing. She sure hopes I'll try again next year!
