Fridge Climbing

Today I stole a bag of cookies that my Mommy made the other night for a meeting. She was really impressed with how I got them too. It's not like it's that hard to climb up onto the refrigerator though. I just pushed the kitchen chair up to the fridge and used the ice maker like a step, and voila! Cookies in no time! I told her that I knew how to do it because I'm 4 now.

Veggies!

Look at the veggies I picked from our garden! We planted tomatoes, carrots, green beans, squash, dill, and green peppers. When we went away to NC for vacation we weren't home to water the garden, so we didn't think anything would grow! We sure were wrong! Among the weeds we found this carrot and these green beans! They were so fresh and yummy!

Cape Cod

On Monday, Mommy drove us to Cape Cod to see a friend of hers from college, Mrs. Kirmil. Mrs. Kirmil has a really nice son, Sean, that we liked playing with. He is younger than us (1 year old), so Mommy was afraid we might teach him big boy tricks (but we didn't!). We played on the beach the afternoon that we got there. Then Mommy and Mrs. Kirmil cooked hotdogs on the grill in the pouring rain for dinner. That night for dessert we tried a watermelon ice cream cake. It was so yummy! We spent the night and in the morning we went to breakfast together. It was a really short visit, but at least we got to meet baby Sean before he turns 2!

Harrison's Birthday Party

This weekend Aunt Georgi, Uncle Jon, and Emma came up from NJ to help Mommy and Daddy with my birthday party. I had a "fishing" party at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT (it's right down the street from my house!). Some of my friends from school and church came to play. We had a fishing "pool" where we could use the poles that Mommy made to catch sponge fish. We had bubbles and beach toys too. Most of the time, everyone wanted to play by the water spigot in the mud puddle though!

Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me and I blew out the candle on my huge fish cake that Mommy made for me.

Chapel Hill

Before heading home, we stopped in Chapel Hill to see Uncle Justin, Aunt Shelly, and baby Avery. We met at the Old Well and got to open presents. They gave me a bug catcher with a magnifying glass, flashlight, and tweezers and a book about bugs for my birthday! They even gave Emerson a present- A Thomas the Train set with Thomas and Anna & Clarabel! How did they know that Em likes trains? We even had a present for Avery- clothes, of course! After presents we walked to a restaurant called "Hams" for lunch. When we finished lunch, we walked back through the campus and went to the Student Stores. Mommy bought us both UNC t-shirts! Maybe one day we can go to college here too, just like Mommy and Daddy did!

Jacksonville Visit

After leaving the Outer Banks, Daddy had to fly home to go back to work. But we really wanted to see our Poppop Suter, Uncle Drew, Aunt Jessy & cousin Trey, so Mommy drove us to Jacksonville, NC. We stayed for almost 2 weeks! (Boy, bet Poppop was glad to get some peace and quiet after we left!) We went to the beach, ate at Chuck-E-Cheese, made a Barbie birthday cake for Uncle Drew, went to see the 53 helicopters and Ospreys, and got to do the slip-n-slide a few times! Poppop Suter took me shopping at Walmart for my birthday! I got to pick anything I wanted!! I got a cowboy set with 2 real cap guns (they were for big boys 8 years old, but Poppop said it didn't matter!), a sherrif's badge, a bandana, a cowboy hat, and a holster for my pistol. I even got a light saber too!

One morning Aunt Jessy was on her way to work and she caught a baby turtle for us. I named him "Cartwheel". We kept him for the day in an aquarium, but let him go after Trey came home to see him. That same night Mommy caught a really fat frog for us! He played in the aquarium for a little bit before we let them both go.

It was such a great visit at Poppop's! We hope he gets the chance to come and visit us sometime soon in CT!

For the week of 4th of July, Mommy & Daddy took us to the Outer Banks. We had SO much fun there! Aunt Melissa and Uncle Chris came and stayed with us too! We went to the beach every day and even got to fish in the evening. I caught a big striped bass and Emerson caught a "wittle fwounda". We went to the dunes, the Wright Brothers Museum and even to the Cape Hatteras Light House. Can you believe we drove all that way and I was an inch too short to climb it?! I was not very happy about that!

On 4th of July, we watched the fire works from the beach. They were everywhere! Daddy even had some for us to do ourselves. I hope we can go back again next year!
